Hi there! Today I am very excited to share a couple different ways that I like to mount little critters onto colorful card backgrounds without losing the image in the distracting background. This video is also part of a blog hop with Emily Leiphart, stay tuned to find out more info! 🙂
For all of the cards, I blended the colorful backgrounds using various stencils and bright Catherine Pooler ink pads. Have fun playing around with color combinations, it’s just paper so you can always trash it!
I cut a diagonal panel with white cardstock for each card. This gives the critters a place to stand and creates a contrasting background.
Here are the other two variations that I created with warmer colors. For these cards, I used the Surf And Turf stamp set and the Into The Woods stamp set. I love how all of these cards turned out and I hope you will give this technique a try!
This post is part of a really awesome blog hop to celebrate Emily Leiphart’s big 5,000 subscriber milestone! All of your favorite designers’ kids are going to be creating the amazing projects to celebrate kids in the crafting industry.
