Interactive Slider Cards (No Dies)

March 4, 2017

Hi there! Slider cards have been taking over the cardmaking and crafting world by storm and I love the look and interactive portion of the cards. So, today I am excited to show how to create a slider card using NO DIES! 🙂

Lawn Fawn has a die set to create these cards that makes it easier and cleaner to cut the slider portion. However, I would create a couple without them to see if you like these interactive cards. Personally, I love them!

To create the colorful backgrounds, I swiped Umbrella Crafts ink pads across the surface of my cards. This gives a simple and colorful background to work on top of.

For the first card, I cut a rectangle slider portion going across the card panel. Then, I applied stamps from the cute Easter Wishes stamp set on the penny slider and around the opening on foam tape. This allows the image to slide behind images and creates a cool scene.

On the second card, I created a slider opening vertically on the card for a different effect. I applied images from the Froggy Friends stamp set to the slider and around it to create a lake scene. This allows the frog to hop up and down onto a lily pad!

(There is much more detailed explanation in the video on how to create these fun slider cards).
