Hi there! Today’s video shares multiple ways to create faux textured and stamped backgrounds with stamp kissing. This is a bit of an older technique, but I decided to bring it back because I love the unique and stunning results!
For all of the background stamping, I am using a solid Backdrop stamp which is super versatile for many stamping techniques. However, the stamp kissing technique can be used with all kinds of solid stamps.

On the first card, I kissed some detailed stamps from the Winter Kobi stamp set to the backgrounds with two colors. This makes a fun two-tone stamped background with lots of detail and color.
On the next card, I pressed the Falling Snow background stamp onto the backdrop without using another ink. This lifts the ink off the stamp and creates a more subtle stamped background.
I also added some Snow Marker onto Santa’s beard to add some fun texture and interest on the images. I love this marker for the winter season to create textured snow or fur!
On the last example, I sprayed some stamps from the Kobi The Birthday Bear stamp set with water and stamped it onto the backdrop stamp. This reacted with the ink to create a fun faux watercolor stamped background.
I watercolored all of the adorable images in using Zig Clean Color Markers and created scenes on the card backgrounds.
