Coloring Through Stencils

Hello there! Today’s video shows how to color and shade with colored pencils through stencils. These tips will really expand how you use your stencils and maybe try them with other mediums as well!

The Simon Says Stamp stencil I used is sadly discontinued, however I will link below to a wafer die that creates your own stencil exactly like this.

It is as simple as it sounds, tape your stencil to your card stock and start coloring and blending. Make sure you get up all of the way to the edges and have a sharp pencil for all of the stencil details.

I stamped down the sentiment “I am here for you” using black ink. The wax absorbs the ink, so you can see the colored pencil through the sentiment. It’s a fun and different look!

Finally, I mounted it on a card base using foam tape and added some clear sequins. I love these sequins by Lucy Abrams because so many various styles are included in one pack.

Enjoy the video!
